Dear Business Owner,
Would you agree with me if I said that business has become increasingly tough for business owners like yours over the past several years?
I'm sure you've felt the pressure...Especially during this crazy pandemic.
On top of competition from the corporate companies, you must deal with wearing many hats being a business owner just to make it in today's business world. Most businesses run by the seat of their pants, putting the record keeping on the back burner until it comes tax time, then they shuffle around trying to do 6 months of work in 2 hours. Right?
Do you actually know if your numbers are correct now or from previous years? As this can be very stressful not knowing if everything is actually being completed for your business efficiently and being reported correctly.
Believe me, I know how this feels for sure.....You wouldn't believe the convoluted numbers I have seen in my time.
As someone who's spent more than 22 years working with hundreds of diverse businesses across the USA, I personally understand the unique challenges you face while running your business.
And here's the thing...
The BIGGEST challenges you face with having financial success and generating lasting wealth from your business is that you are trying to do everything.
Do you truly know if the set up of your company books is correct? Do you know how your cash-flow is for the day/week/month? Are you understanding your financial numbers, and when you need to grow your business from that information?
Business owners get so over whelmed with trying to do everything and they usually depend on the tax preparer to catch the mistakes at year end. You would be surprised at how many businesses don't realize that the tax preparers take the numbers they provide, whether they are correct or not. Uncle Sam doesn't care who prepared the taxes - Uncle Sam only cares who provided the information.
An example of a small business owner who has been in business for 11 years. The owner never paid hotel nor sales taxes at all from the beginning. The owner did not know to pay the taxes. The owner thought this was being done at year end with taxes. The cpa's and tax preparers for 11 years did not catch the ongoing error of reporting sales & use tax and hotel tax as income. The company now owes over $55K in hotel and sales and use taxes. The cpa's and tax preparers filed as income - in which means the company overpaid taxes. And the cpa's and tax preparers got paid the big bucks!!
The truth is, you need to worry about things like how to increase your customer sales, know how accountability is essential to keep work relationships productive, inventory control is a very big issue to keep under control, creating a budget ensures you are being realistic with your company goals, and ensuring the financial health of your business...This is accomplished by implementing our accounting checklist into your business reporting
When done right, planning and reduction is the 20% of your activities in which creates 80% of your results.
The problem that I run into all the time is that most business owners don't know anything about bookkeeping, or if the books are set-up correctly, or how to read financials, and need help to know when to GROW!!
That's why I have decided to give you my FREE
"The Business Accounting Checklist"
